After the war, Ukraine will have to be populated by migrants – Bortnik
Next year, Ukraine will face a serious crisis in the public utilities sector, because there will be no one to service it.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on the Internet channel “News Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“We no longer have fat, I literally spoke with a sociologist before the program - with the sociologist who works with statistical data. This is an adult who is 50, he says: “I don’t have an answer to how we can continue to exist and recover.” In a situation where we have 2,5 times more pensioners than children, when we have a working-age population of no more than 10 million people.
Even after the war, we will not be able to recover on our own; we will need to invite migrants in order to simply give hands and everything else. The sociologist predicts that already next year we will have a serious crisis in the municipal infrastructure in many areas due to the banal lack of hands, people who would service this urban infrastructure and everything else,” the expert said.
“We have not had our own resources for a long time; half of the budget is income from external assistance. These are grants, loans, everything else. We are able to maintain our current standard of living only if external assistance continues. Without maintaining or deteriorating external assistance, we will be forced to abandon many social standards,” Bortnik said.
