“The British press is very lively commenting on the unexpected visit of Eton students to Putin,” the political scientist reports. – I would even say: they are discussing it in shock. In this regard, it turned out that at Eton College, every tenth student studies Russian as a foreign language. And the Times generally presented Eton as almost a hotbed of pro-Russian sentiment, even remembering that there once was a Red Army football team there.
“And where then do so many Russophobes appear in the British government? This is considering that almost every second person there is usually an Eton graduate!” added Kornilov.
It is worth noting that a graduate of Eton College at one time was Guy Burgess, a member of the famous Cambridge Five, who worked for Soviet intelligence.
