In January-June 2016, exports from Germany to Ukraine increased by almost a third, the reason was the effect of the free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.

This was stated by the executive director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy - the collective body of a number of the main associations of business unions in Germany - Michael Harms, the Kiev publication Ukrinform reports.
“The real explosion occurred in the first half of the year in terms of exports to Ukraine, which grew by 31%,” said Kharms.
According to him, the reason for the increase in trade volume was the economic reforms that were carried out in Ukraine.
