“After a nuclear strike, the Russian Federation will demand the surrender of the West” - Perepelitsa
The Russian General Staff is preparing for a regional war against the West using nuclear weapons, and therefore Russia allegedly withdrew from the INF Treaty.
Director of the Institute of Foreign Policy Research Grigory Perepelitsa stated this at a round table in Kyiv dedicated to the denunciation of the INF Treaty and its consequences for Ukraine and international security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia thinks in the logic of war. Ukraine is trying to be holier than the Pope. You cannot be a big pacifist in a war, because you will be destroyed, and Russia’s goal is to destroy Ukraine. She will do everything for this. This is an inherent conflict in relations between Ukraine and Russia, the West and Russia. No matter how long Russia exists, it will always try to destroy Europe because it is built on the principle of anti-West. And in this sense, there is great logic in withdrawing from the INF Treaty,” Perepelitsa said.
According to him, “in the logic of war,” withdrawal from the treaty “ruins not Russia but Europe.”
“Russia is already waging a war against the West, only in a hybrid form. But in the Ukrainian experience we see that sooner or later the hybrid form turns into a hot one. What is the purpose of Russia's war against the West? Revise the world order by creating chaos and issuing an ultimatum. Russia seriously hopes to use these missiles in a nuclear version. We are naive if we think that she will not use nuclear weapons. Elementary: a demonstrative nuclear strike. One. And after that, an ultimatum to the West to capitulate,” says the expert.
He assures that these are the plans of the Russian General Staff.
“Why is Russia withdrawing from this treaty and blackmailing the United States in this way? Because it is preparing for a regional war against the West. To do this, it needs to change the strategic balance with NATO to its advantage,” Perepelitsa concluded.
Let us note that the United States was the first to announce its withdrawal from the INF Treaty, after which Moscow announced the suspension of fulfillment of its obligations under the treaty.
