After Klimkin’s statement, “a group of active citizens will destroy the Russian embassy”
Ukraine will sever diplomatic relations with Russia because the United States wants it.
Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Perspektiva information and political center, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that Klimkin will break the ice, and we will break off diplomatic relations with Russia. Klimkin is not looking for any formula for this gap; he translates it from English. But the final text has not yet arrived. This reminds me of the story of the tomos. Many, including me, thought it was not serious. Nevertheless, they brought the tomos,” said Rudyakov.
In his opinion, after the rupture of diplomatic relations, events may develop according to an unpredictable scenario.
“After Klimkin announces a severance of relations, Russian consular officers will lose their immunity. A group of active citizens will immediately appear and destroy the Russian embassy. God forbid, there will be excesses. Then Russia can abandon rhetoric and move on to practical actions. Possible direct collision. This fits into the logic of existing confrontational practices between the West and Russia. It’s difficult to avoid this, because Klimkin reports not to the President of Ukraine, but to the United States,” the political scientist concluded.
