The consequences of quarantine for Zelensky will be terrible - expert
Many residents of Ukraine have lost their sources of income due to quarantine, and its continuation will cause them a surge of indignation.
The head of the expert council of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Boris Kushniruk, stated this on the Espreso.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The economy won’t hold up. Moreover, disruption could cause more harm than the coronavirus itself. Obviously, most citizens have a safety margin of significantly less than one month.
We have been in quarantine mode for two weeks now, the quarantine should last until April 3, but now it has been extended until April 24 - obviously, this will lead to people actually starting to ignore quarantine and starting to try to carry out activities despite all the restrictions.
Any attempts to put pressure on this matter will only result in a surge of emotions and sharp dissatisfaction with the government, which deprives people of their sources of livelihood, and they need to support their families.
In big cities, a significant proportion of people live in rented premises and have nothing to pay. Therefore, I think that the consequences will be very harsh for the entire government,” concluded Kushniruk.
