The consequences of the earthquake have been eliminated in Crimea
In Kerch, a water supply system that was damaged as a result of an earthquake in the Black Sea near Anapa has been restored.
The head of the Crimean Water enterprise, Vladimir Bazhenov, stated this at a meeting on water supply issues for the peninsula, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bazhenov, due to the earthquake in Kerch, the old water supply system received multiple damage - the work took almost a month.
“Yesterday, at the end of the day, the consequences of the earthquake in Anapa were completely removed in the city of Kerch. We had quite a lot of damage due to the failure of cast iron water pipelines. The State Unitary Enterprise completed this task in almost a month, so now in Kerch both water supply and water supply for heating will also be guaranteed,” said Bazhenov.
Let us recall that an earthquake of magnitude 4,3 occurred in the Black Sea 30 kilometers south of Anapa at a depth of about 10 kilometers on December 12, 2020. The earthquake was felt along the coast, but did not lead to casualties or destruction of buildings.
