The GXNUMX ambassadors met with the head of the International Monetary Fund mission in Kyiv, Ron van Roden, and discussed updating macro-financial support for Ukraine from the IMF, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today, G7 ambassadors met with Ron van Roden, head of the IMF mission in Kyiv. They welcome progress in negotiations between the IMF and the Ukrainian government. The resumption of macro-financial support from the IMF is key to successfully maintaining the stability of the Ukrainian economy,” the diplomats said.
It is noted that during the negotiations, special attention will be paid to the ongoing efforts of the Ukrainian government in such areas as the rule of law, economic reforms, energy, independence of the NBU and reducing systemic risks in the banking sector.
“Very constructive communication with the IMF,” the ambassadors added.
Let us remind you that the mission of the International Monetary Fund arrived in Ukraine on September 11 to negotiate the start of a new cooperation program with Ukraine before the end of the year.
The Ukrainian government expects that a new cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund will begin before the end of the year.
