EU ambassadors, instead of putting pressure on Ukraine, are whispering in Moscow about circumventing sanctions
The European Union has driven itself into a trap by linking the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions with the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Director of the Department of Pan-European Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrei Kelin stated this today at a round table in the Federation Council.

“It all came down to the form into which they drove themselves - the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Until they are completed, we will not have anything new. At the same time, everyone is well aware that it is not for us to implement them, but for Kyiv. No one understands how to get out of this impasse. And no one is going to get out of it until the crisis in Germany and our elections are resolved,” Kelin said.
At the same time, according to him, European countries feel a great need to resume economic relations with Russia, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The ambassadors of European countries began to visit the ministers, pushing their national interests: round birch, aspen, pig products, some minor issues. We feel the need is huge,” Kaelin said.
