The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Case Jan Rene Klompenhouwer, said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The territory of Ukraine is significant, but the economic indicators are just insignificant,” said Klompenhauwer.
According to him, the entire Ukrainian economy in terms of its volume can be compared with the Dutch province.
“The Ukrainian economy can be compared in size to the economy of one of the 12 Dutch provinces - North Holland,” the ambassador said.
However, in his opinion, Ukraine has potential for development, which can be used for the economic growth of the state, because the EU is not interested in the Ukrainian economy remaining at such a low level.
“The EU is not at all interested in the economy in Ukraine remaining at its current level. After all, then the benefits from our trade will also be insignificant,” explained the Ambassador of the Netherlands.
