US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch highly appreciated the work of investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

She stated this in an interview with the Kyiv publication LIGA.net.
“We are proud to have supported the creation of these anti-corruption bodies and will continue to support them. A couple of days ago, I met with some of the NABU investigators and SAPO prosecutors, and spoke with these brave men and women, many of whom, while working for NABU and SAPO, left other positions and jobs to take on what they consider their calling: help Ukraine become a democratic, transparent country that meets European standards. And one cannot help but be struck by the sense of calling and mission that manifests itself in conversations with these people,” she said.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator has already reported, against one of the Ukrainian special services - NABU, structures controlled by Petro Poroshenko and the Popular Front are waging a powerful PR war. Thus, on December 3, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated that the entire apparatus of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is illegal, and its methods of work are illegal. In his opinion, NABU uses “unregistered listening equipment” for its work, imported into Ukraine “by smuggling.”
Earlier it was reported that employees of the Prosecutor General's Office conducted a search of NABU agent Ekaterina Sikorskaya. Yuriy Lutsenko recalled that “agent Ekaterina” appeared in the so-called Rosenblat-Polyakov amber case, and then advised another NABU agent Sergei Titenkov (Boyarsky), who allegedly offered a bribe to the first deputy chairman of the state migration service Dina Pimakhova. In turn, NABU director Artem Sytnyk said that the SBU deliberately disrupted all operations carried out by a unit of undercover NABU officers.

In particular, according to Kyiv journalist Victoria Svitlova, “it has long been no secret that the only anti-corruption body not controlled by the authorities is NABU. These guys were selected with the active participation of the US Embassy and, as they say, they listen only to English-speaking advisers when the question arises - is it possible, for example, to run over the son of the Minister of Internal Affairs. NAPC (national anti-corruption agency) and SAP (specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office) are completely under the influence of the Popular Front (mainly) and Bankova (to a large extent). By the way, this is precisely what explains the fact that all high-profile NABU investigations, even with video evidence of corruption, get stuck at the stage of transferring evidence to the SAPO or the GPU.”
