Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany: We are doing everything so that the Germans do not believe Russian liberals
Fugitive Russian liberals who are trying to represent Russia abroad are just as much imperialists as the Russian authorities.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Alexey Makeev stated this on Radio Liberty, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Indeed, the Germans are trying to find interlocutors among the so-called Russian liberal opposition, but we, for our part, show them that the opposition is not liberal at all, and we urge our German partners to take into account the fact that many of the representatives of this so-called opposition are in fact the same the most imperial, like Putin and his entourage. They listen to us.
I tell them: have you seen somewhere in Germany that those oppositionists who are supposedly progressive in their views, so that they go to a protest demonstration near the Russian embassy? Or those millions of German citizens of Russian origin, so that they speak out condemning this genocidal war of Putin?” the ambassador said.
“Very important changes are taking place in German society, we are pushing them towards these changes and calling on them to avoid again the same mistake of excessive admiration for Russia, and now the Russian so-called liberal opposition,” Makeev said.
