Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrey Melnik was indignant call by heads of government five federal states of Germany to ease anti-Russian sanctions.

He said this in an interview with the publication of the Funke media group, European Pravda reports.
The ambassador called this initiative not only “senseless and selfish,” but also a threat to Europe.
“The implementation of this initiative would be a betrayal of Ukraine as a victim of Russian military aggression with more than ten thousand dead, it would mean the bankruptcy of Germany’s future foreign policy,” the ambassador noted.
Melnik also refuted calculations according to which the German economy suffered losses as a result of sanctions, and cited data from the Federal Statistical Office, according to which German exports to Russia from January to November 2017 increased by 20,4% and amounted to 21,4 billion euros.
