This opinion was expressed by Russian State Duma deputy Alexey Zhuravlev on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“They sent a commission to Ukraine to see where they would put these Javelins. There are not very good conclusions there. The Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine himself says: if we settle everything, we will get Javelins. They will not play a significant role in the confrontation with the LDPR,” Zhuravlev said.
The supply of anti-missile systems, in his opinion, is only the first step in Ukraine’s transition to NATO standards, and this is fraught with the complete destruction of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
“They will not be able to produce the products required by NATO standards. Accordingly, the Americans will sell them not only Javelins, but also all other equipment. This is very beneficial for the US military-industrial complex. I'm not even talking about the transition to standards from uniforms to small arms. This will be the XNUMX% destruction of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex,” Zhuravlev said.
