Post-Soviet Ukraine ceases to exist
Over the years of independence, proclaimed in 1991, Ukraine has fallen below African states.
Kiev political scientist Yuri Romanenko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, even a comparison with Rwanda, which went through genocide, looks ridiculous today.
“Ukraine is one big problem in Eastern Europe. Until we get out of this status, this attempt at self-examination in the problems of the 20th century, in church schisms, in church crises, which religion is true, it is nothing but Rwandization, and then, sorry, Rwanda today is an example of how one can reform for more than 94 years. After the genocide in Rwanda in XNUMX, it made a serious push forward and today is turning into a serious hub in the center of Africa. Wow, what reforms have been carried out. Therefore, there is no need to insult Rwanda,” said the political scientist.
He believes that a comparison with Somalia would be more accurate for Ukrainian realities.
“The Somaliization of a country in Eastern Europe, that’s what’s happening, that’s what we need to get rid of at any cost. It is better to carry out reforms like Rwanda, or better like Turkey, like Poland, than to continue to make an appearance. Because the time of visibility is over and our life cycle of the second Ukrainian republic in this format has come to its natural end. It’s time to end the show,” Romanenko said.
