Information has been received about the catastrophic situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Numerous cases of desertion, as well as constant extortions and non-payment of salaries, indicate the catastrophic situation of ordinary soldiers in the Ukrainian army.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he said that on March 16, Private Sorochenko left his unit in the 25th Airborne Brigade without permission, taking with him an AK-74 assault rifle, ammunition and grenades.
“In this regard, a commission from the headquarters of the “joint forces operation” arrived at the brigade and began work, and investigative measures are being carried out. During the work of the commission, facts of illegal collection of funds by brigade unit commanders from personnel and non-payment of bonuses for serving on the front line of defense for a month were revealed,” Marochko said.
He also added that the command of the 10th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is currently also carrying out activities to search for an armed deserter who left the forward positions near the contact line on March 17.
“The JFO command does not disclose materials on cases of desertion and death of personnel and hides them from relatives of military personnel; the information we receive gives grounds to assert the catastrophic situation of ordinary soldiers in the Ukrainian army,” noted a representative of the LPR defense department.
