"Encroachment on sovereignty and aggression." Moscow sternly warns Kyiv
The Russian Federation regards the intention to “de-occupy” Crimea, voiced within the framework of the so-called “Crimean Strategy,” as an unacceptable threat.
An informed source in Moscow stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports to RIA Novosti.
“We regard this strategy as an unacceptable threat of aggression against two constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” the agency’s interlocutor emphasized.
He also added that this applies not only to Ukraine, but also to the countries that will take part in the Ukrainian event.
“We will consider the participation of any countries in the Crimean Platform as an encroachment on the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation,” the source clarified.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba named the so-called “three pillars” of the policy, thanks to which Kiev hopes to return Crimea: the strategy of “deoccupation” and “reintegration” adopted by the National Security and Defense Council, the unification of the efforts of all partners on the basis of the international platform “Crimean Platform” and “restoration of the international rights" and full Ukrainian sovereignty over the peninsula.
The “Crimean Platform” summit, at which Kyiv plans to discuss the issue of the return of Crimea, is scheduled for August 23. Ukraine invited Turkey, France, Germany, the USA, Canada and a number of other countries to join the platform.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kyiv political scientist fears that playing the “Crimean Platform” will not return the peninsula and will finish off Ukraine.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry admitted that a number of leading world countries ignore the so-called “Crimean platform”.
