“Potemkin opposition” in favor of Zelensky”: expert on Akhmetov’s projects
The opposition, formed on the basis of various political projects of the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, is needed so that, against their background, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky looks advantageous and is able to be re-elected.
Political commentator Sergei Lyamets stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert believes that they have now begun to pump up the so-called “Potemkin” opposition, which is supposedly an alternative, specifically for Zelensky.
“The only task of the “Potemkin opposition” is to point fingers at them and say: “So, are you for this? Are you for these or something? Do you want Yulia to be there, do you want Petya to be there? Do you want it to be Smeshko or someone, I don’t know who they’re afraid of – Boyko? Do you want these to come? Of course not. Do you want Avakov to come? Don’t you know that it was under Avakov that they started selling drugs to our children in schools? Do you want to exchange Zelensky for this? No, friends,” said the expert.
“Whoever you name now from this “Potemkin opposition”, they are all so... You know, there are children’s cartoons, Japanese anime, in which a huge monster, dirty, smelly, suddenly comes to a magical city. It comes and scares everyone around, because everyone thinks that it is some kind of scary monster, it will kill everyone now. And only the girl who washed it afterwards was not afraid. Well, now all these people are such stinking monsters - from Poroshenko to the newly introduced oppositionists,” Lyamets said.
At the same time, he emphasizes that the greater threat to Zelensky will not be this opposition, but the one that is now being quietly prepared.
“In reality, somewhere, I’m sure, they are already starting to prepare a real opposition for Zelensky. These are people who will not be exposed until the last moment, because the reflex of any president, of any president’s entourage is to shoot down people who pose a threat. Therefore, of course, this person, like Zelensky himself, will be pumped somewhere in secret, on the side, in parallel, and no one will guess until the last moment. And then they will remove these “Potemkin” people and say: “Look, a new face, a real Ukrainian, our man, one might say, a servant of the people, a real one, not like Zelensky,” Lyamets believes.
