Ukraine’s potential will finally fade away in a few years – economist
Ukraine has not yet completely lost the chance to develop and implement its own economic strategy and development model, but in a few years it will no longer be able to do this due to the loss of potential.
Economist Andrei Novak stated this on the Politeka Online TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have our own aircraft manufacturing and space industry. We have everything, technologies for producing everything - from needles to space rockets. But all this is not organized into a single economic strategy. Therefore, we are only talking about the potential of Ukraine - scientific, technological, human, humanitarian, cultural.
But this potential fades away every year because people leave. And the most active ones come out, those who do not want to sit and wait for the state to give something. And the task of implementing our model (of development) is a task for the near future. Because in a few more years there will be nothing left to sell. I would really like to see an answer to this challenge finally appear in 2021,” the economist worries.
