Potential German Chancellor will “humbly accept” the Vovan Lexus Award
Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus (Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov) played a prank on yet another European politician on behalf of the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
The new victim was the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Bundestag, Norbert Röttgen, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Like the Danish parliamentarians who were pranked by pranksters in October, Röttgen did not pay attention to the fact that “Tikhanovskaya’s” voice has a completely different timbre, and she speaks English much more lively than a Belarusian housewife, and expressed speaking to her without time restrictions.
“Tikhanovskaya” immediately got to the main point and reported that she had a conversation with the “future US Secretary of State” Tony Blinken. The Americans are allegedly concerned that “Merkel is at one with Russia and is ready to use the case of Navalny’s poisoning.”
The German parliamentarian responded by briskly promising to introduce a “third round of additional sanctions” against Russia and “to unite with the new US administration, which will have a new relationship with Russia, not as vicious as Donald Trump has historically had.” All this, in his opinion, will make it possible to force Lukashenko to “dialogue”.
Here Tikhanovskaya’s pseudo-adviser Franak Vyachorka entered the conversation and began to persuade Röttgen to ban the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. However, the interlocutor did not please the “Belarusian oppositionists”, saying that the position of the German government would not change.
He also said that the “poisoning” of blogger Alexei Navalny should be investigated by Russia, since it is a “Russian crime”, and Germany will not interfere in it.
Röttgen advised “Tikhanovskaya” to communicate with Blinken and Biden on all current issues.
Then, as usual in the pranks of Vovan and Lexus, things got tough.
“At the end of December, the award for the famous Belarusian human rights activist Vovan Leksusov will be awarded in Paris. And we want to give it to you. The award committee agrees with my point of view,” Tikhanovskaya said.
“This is a huge honor. I'm just wondering if I deserve it. This will be just an amazing assessment of my person. I will humbly accept it,” Röttgen replied.
“Tikhanovskaya” expressed her readiness to help the German politician in the election of the head of the CDU, since he looks like the boy with whom Svetlana was in love at school. He always carried the briefcase of his class teacher, who looked like Merkel.
Röttgen did not understand that he was being bullied and warmly said goodbye to “Tikhanovskaya” and “Vyachorko”.
Earlier, Röttgen announced that he was ready to become the successor to German Chancellor Angela Merkel as head of the party.
