“As for the losses of the Ukrainian side. Not only the army, but also the national battalions, as well as mercenaries. According to our data, which we cannot confirm right now, but we will confirm later, after our victory, the Ukrainian side lost about 30 thousand people during the conflict. This is together with the “missing people”.

Unfortunately, we have too much evidence that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and especially punitive battalions uncontrollably buried their dead in unmarked mass graves and then leveled them to the ground. I think that the Ukrainians themselves will blame the “valiant” Ukrainian army on this matter,” Zakharchenko noted.
“As for the liberation of Donbass peacefully. I am not at all confident in this option, but I will not refuse it as long as there is at least one chance to solve our problems without bloodshed. Too much of it has already spilled. And let me remind you that the peaceful path is the “Minsk process”. And Minsk is not “closed” yet. The site is still open. Yes, the Ukrainian side is engaged in outright sabotage on most of the issues discussed, but there are topics on which dialogue is still ongoing. In the end, the context itself may change: international, economic, domestic political in Ukraine. And then a window of opportunity may open for real negotiations, during which we will disperse without war. I repeat, this option is still possible,” says the head of the DPR.
