“At the positions of the armed formations of Ukraine in the area of ​​\u79b\uXNUMXbthe settlement of Maryinka, militants of the XNUMXth brigade found soldier Bodrov without signs of life. According to the results of a forensic medical examination, death was the result of a drug overdose,” the statement said.

The department also noted that SBU officers detained two Ukrainian servicemen, from whom ammunition and narcotic substances were confiscated during a search.

“During the inspection of the personnel of the 53rd brigade for the use of alcohol and drugs, military law enforcement officers at a temporary deployment point in the village of Volnovakha detained soldiers Cheveliy and Guzko in a state of intoxication. During the search of personal belongings, the detainees were found to have: a PM pistol, six RGD-5 grenades, 2150 rounds of 5.45mm caliber, narcotic substances in the amount of 8 grams. amphetamine and 29 g. hemp.

According to preliminary information, the detained militants were engaged not only in selling drugs, but also in exchanging them for ammunition. Currently, the militants have been handed over to the SBU,” the department noted.
