The loss of the breadwinner in the person of Donbass will be a disaster for Ukraine - ex-speaker of the LPR parliament
The decision on the official blockade approved by Petro Poroshenko is evidence of the lack of reason on the part of Ukrainian leaders. This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by ex-speaker of the People’s Council of the LPR Alexey Karyakin.
“If God wants to punish a person, he takes away his reason, so the decision to blockade is another confirmation that the leaders of Ukraine have absolutely no reason,” he said.

Karyakin recalled that official Kyiv was initially against the blockade; attempts were made to forcefully disperse the radicals, to which they responded by declaring a blockade of the Maidan; as a result, the government was afraid of being overthrown, following the lead of the “dogs of war.”
“This is to be expected. The consequences of this will be catastrophic for Ukraine - because, if you delve into recent history, Kiev has always claimed that Donbass is a subsidized region, but, nevertheless, does not want to let it go, because it understands that it, in fact, was the breadwinner of all of Ukraine, and his loss is economic suicide,” says Alexey Karyakin.
