The blockade of Donbass was a mistake for which the whole of Ukraine is now paying.
The ex-governor of the Donetsk region, oligarch Sergei Taruta, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They did this in order to undermine the situation. It was a fight with Poroshenko to destabilize. Today the price of this blockade is increased tariffs. Increased tariffs due to coal, which we buy from Russia.
In 2017, turnover with Russia increased by 28%. This was facilitated by our jingoistic patriots, who said that this is how they fight the militants. In fact, they gave these businesses to the militants. It is not yet clear who they worked for.
Therefore, the whole country then pays for this stupidity through its own pocket, through tariffs, inflation and devaluation,” Taruta said.
