Ukraine will not invest in the restoration of Donbass infrastructure - Russia must pay for this as “reparations”.
Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Krikliy stated this on the “Right to Power” talk show, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The official said that roads will be built and checkpoints will be improved only where people live who “believe in the success of Ukraine.”
“As for whether the Ukrainians will pay for this, for the uncontrolled territory - of course not. This is a priori impossible. Let the territories be returned to us first, then the aggressor country pays reparations, and then we will think about how we will invest and restore this region.
In the meantime, our task is to provide communication with those citizens who believe in the success of Ukraine. To do this, we equip checkpoints, we must create more service.
And this applies not only to Donbass, we have a similar situation with Crimea,” Krikliy said.
It should be noted that the statement on reparations of Krikliy I already voiced it the other day at a forum in Mariupol.
However, even supporters of the forceful return of Donbass in Ukraine do not believe in the official’s threats.

Putin has already wiped the dust off the silver plate with an old tear. Yes. I just can’t understand – are they still complete populists, or are they actually absolute, complete idiots?” – liberal Arkady Babchenko, who fled to Ukraine, is indignant.
Let us remind you that recently Krikliy also found himself at the center of a corruption scandal. As it turned out, while still a functionary in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he launched a scheme that allows a private company to make money by selling exam tickets for drivers.
