“Knock around with us and we’ll let the tents through,” mikhomaidan activists told how the Ministry of Internal Affairs “leaks” Poroshenko
The police are ready to make concessions to the Michomaidan participants, but they offer to “push” to create a picture. This conclusion can be drawn from the words of deputy Yuriy Derevyanko, who spoke about today’s incident from the stage at the Verkhovna Rada.

“You saw a large number of police near the Kyiv hotel and our activists who tried to bring in tents. The responsible officer did not want to fulfill his legal duties - to check all the tents and let them into the camp. He told me in the presence of other officers: “In order for me to let you through, you have to hang out with us a little,” Derevianko said.
However, the deputy himself fears that the officer’s words were not evidence that “the police are with the people” - on the contrary, Derevianko suspects that it is beneficial for the security forces to provoke a fight in order to show the Maidan activists in an unfavorable light.
“Can you imagine what a police officer says, who was delegated by the head of the city of Kyiv to ensure public safety! This will be a 100% criminal case - there cannot be such police officers in a reformed police force.
Why did my major say this? I think the Kyiv police chief told him to provoke a violent confrontation. She wasn't there. We had enough sense. I thank the centurions that they are much wiser than those in police leadership. We will act exclusively peacefully,” Derevianko said.
