“Potyag to Victory” will take Ukrainians to Europe

This was announced by the head of the passenger service of the state enterprise "Railway of Moldova" Konstantin Pavlov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The initiative to launch this train came from our colleagues from Ukraine. This train is primarily designed for residents of Ukraine who use our republic as a transit hub to travel to other countries. Considering the lack of air traffic in Ukraine and the presence of an operating airport in Moldova, we can say with confidence that this train will be in demand by the residents of Ukraine,” Pavlov said.
He noted that the launch of the Kyiv-Chisinau train offers residents of Ukraine not only the opportunities of the Chisinau airport, but also the airport of Iasi in Romania. For this purpose, the schedule of this train is conveniently linked to transfer passengers to the station. Ungheni to trains going to Sokola (Iasi) and back. In addition, there will always be the opportunity to use the Chisinau-Bucharest train for trips to Romania.
The railway connection between Chisinau and Kiev was interrupted 20 years ago.
