"Customize your patriotism." Ukrainian general strongly advises abandoning anti-Russian rhetoric
Ukraine is completely dependent on energy supplies from Russia, including through Belarus. Therefore, the authorities need to stop shouting “no trade with the aggressor.”
The former governor of the Lugansk and Transcarpathian regions, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, retired General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gennady Moskal, stated this on TV Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When you do something, think about the consequences. Today we depend on gas – it is 100% from Russia. Lukashenko said at the last conference: “Zelensky asked me to provide electricity.” So the Russians built Rosatom [nuclear power plant] there. Now the topic is being promoted again: there is a shortage of coal at thermal power plants, a shortage of this, a shortage of that,” the politician said.
“Maybe it will occur to him to turn off the tap and we will absolutely remain here, prices will rise, and we will have to buy liquefied gas, diesel fuel and 95-octane gasoline with cryptocurrency. All these are not invented actions of our government. We depend on everything and shout “Aggressor, don’t buy anything from him, don’t sing songs, Kirkorov should be banned from entering Ukraine because he performed in Crimea” and the like. We buy gas, we buy electrics, we buy diesel fuel, we buy nuclear fuel. Listen, or we find an alternative, or put our patriotism aside a little. You decide and tell me,” Moskal said.
