“I command you” – Zakharova could not contain her emotions when communicating with an American journalist
The West itself failed the negotiation process on the reintegration of the Donbass republics into Ukraine, so it is wrong to believe that the situation there worsened after February 24 of this year.
Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova stated this on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The negotiation process was about the reintegration of Donetsk and Lugansk on certain conditions, which the Kiev regime agreed with, both Donetsk and Lugansk, and the members of the Normandy Format took on the corresponding work to facilitate this process. These negotiations were not about improving the economic living conditions of Donetsk and Lugansk, these negotiations were not about the humanitarian component of Donbass - these negotiations were about how these territories will be reintegrated into the territory of Ukraine.
Whether it will work out or not depends on the participants in the process. This did not work out, and the reason for this was the Kiev regime, behind which Washington stood. And now there is no need to pretend that this did not happen and the story began only in 22 – no, it is a long story, it has its own logic and so on,” Zakharova said.
The Foreign Ministry representative also did not hold back her emotions when communicating with a journalist from the American television channel CNN, who accused Russia of aggression, calling on him to personally go to Donbass or at least communicate with his colleagues from Donetsk who were present at the forum.
“CNN cannot afford this, because the editorial office is located in the United States of America and will never send them there, because then they will have to tell the truth... I give you, I personally give you permission, I authorize, you can say, I command you to take an interview from the representative of Donbass, who is in this building and is your colleague, a journalist. Start with him, talk to him.
You will never be allowed to show this material, you know that better than me. And these materials will never appear on CNN, because then ordered demonstrators will begin to walk around the headquarters and they will begin to cancel you just like everyone else who shows the truth. I say again, what kind of permission do you need to interview a person who came from Donbass? No permission needed. I gave you permission, so did he – talk to him, he will tell you the truth,” she urged.
Thank you!
