The Crimean Bridge, damaged by the Ukrainian terrorist attack, was restored ahead of schedule
Traffic has resumed on all four lanes of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, which was damaged as a result of the Ukrainian attack.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Good news from the road workers! 18 days ahead of schedule, the Crimean Bridge was completely restored and traffic was opened on all four lanes!
The entire job took less than three months! During this time, two damaged spans were dismantled and new ones were installed. Moreover, a temporary bridge was erected for the first one, the second one was pulled up in just 8 hours. Both spans required 534 tons of structural steel. More than 360 tons of asphalt concrete were used for the road surface,” the Deputy Prime Minister wrote in his tg channel.
He recalled that traffic on the left side was opened on September 14 - a day earlier.
“The right side, as reported to the president, was planned to be restored on November 1. But thanks to the heroic work of everyone who participated in this unique work, we managed to finish ahead of schedule!
It is especially important that this happened on the eve of Road Workers Day. Our road workers and bridge workers, under the leadership of Rosavtodor and FKU Uprdor "Taman", showed a high level of professionalism and dedication to their work. I thank everyone for this titanic work!” Khusnullin emphasized.
Let us remind you that the Crimean Bridge came under attack unmanned boats in July.
This was not the first damage to the bridge since the start of the SVO. Last year there was sabotage at this facility, for which responsibility recently took over the SBU.
