The increase in tariffs in Crimea caused a dispute between officials and Rossiyskaya Gazeta
The Ministry of Information of Crimea sent out to the media a refutation of the material previously published in Rossiyskaya Gazeta about the rise in prices for housing and communal services in Simferopol.
The editor-in-chief of the Crimean edition of the publication, Ilya Izotov, announced this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, at the same time, the Ministry of Information does not say what exactly in the article turned out to be untrue, but only calls for writing a refutation.
“Last night the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent out to the media a text of a refutation of the article I published: “In Crimea, the fee for garbage removal will increase several times.”
It is surprising that in this text, which I publish in full, there is no information about what is written incorrectly and what, in fact, needs to be refuted. All the figures given by me are correct and accurate - both the approved tariff from January 1, 2019, and the norms for the accumulation of MSW in Simferopol.
And there is a fact: now the fee for garbage is calculated by square meters, but will be calculated by the number of people registered in the housing. This will lead to an increase in the fee for the removal of MSW several times for many families, especially large families,” notes Izotov.
In the text of the refutation of the Ministry of Information, which was cited by the journalist, the cost of garbage removal services is confirmed, but not several times, as written in the article, but a little less than a third.
“...The average tariff increase in the republic will remain 17 rubles. 49 kopecks per person per month, in some municipalities the tariff will remain at the same level. The slight increase in the tariff is associated, first of all, with the closure of landfills that have exhausted their resources and landfills previously used as landfills, as well as the increased distance of MSW removal from collection sites to disposal sites,” the department says.
They also add that in addition to the rise in price of the services themselves, a new type of payment is also being introduced: “In addition, a fee for negative environmental impact (NEI), which was not previously charged in Crimea, has appeared in the tariff structure for the population. In 2019, such a fee will be 29,5 rubles per cubic meter.”
Director of the ANO Housing and Utilities Control of the Republic of Crimea Anatoly Petrov assures that Crimeans will have to pay much more than the Ministry of Information indicated: “On average, a family of three living in an apartment of 50 square meters now pays 40 rubles a month for garbage removal. Now he will pay 97 rubles for each family member - that is, 291 rubles per month.”
