About it reports the Ukrainian website “Glavkom”.
Active participants in the mass riots near the building of the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv were the leader of the VO “Svoboda” Oleg Tyagnibok and ex-People’s Deputy Svoboda member Yuriy Sirotyuk.
In turn, Svoboda announced the detention of several dozen of its activists.
“The police detained 20 Svoboda members who are being held in the Goloseevsky district department,” reads a message from the official Svoboda group on the Vkontakte social network. And “Hromadske TV” showed a video with ex-People’s Deputy from “Svoboda” Yuriy Syrotyuk, where Toto complains that he was hit on the head with a rubber truncheon.
During clashes between an aggressive crowd and the police, one National Guard soldier was killed, more than 120 people were injured, including two French journalists, as well as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Vasily Pascal.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov openly blamed Svoboda for the unrest. Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk made a statement on this matter, demanding life imprisonment for those responsible for the death of the National Guardsman.
