Convincing arguments have emerged for non-recognition of the Ukrainian elections
The ban on people from Crimea and Donbass participating in the presidential elections in Ukraine is a reason for declaring them illegal.
Sociologist Evgeny Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, citizens of Ukraine will not be able to vote not only in Russia, but also in Poland.
“The question is generally about the legitimation of all power, when several million people are deprived of the right to choose. I believe that this is a very serious reason not only for Russia, but also for Europe to consider these elections illegitimate from the point of view that for people, in principle, who even live in Poland, conditions have not been created for them to fulfill their constitutional right. I’m not even talking about those who live in Russia,” said the sociologist.
“I believe that the most important issue today is the conduct of the election campaign, the integrity of the election campaign, equal opportunities for all candidates and issues of integrity and recognition of these elections. I believe that this issue will become not only for Russia, but also for Europe,” Kopatko said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that there were reasons not to recognize elections in Ukraine.
