Photos and videos have appeared from the site of the Ukrainian plane crash
Iran's Ministry of Emergency Situations says there is no chance that any of the 167 people on board the Ukrainian International Airlines plane that crashed while taking off from Tehran will survive.
Rescuers are working at the crash site, and extinguishing the debris continues.
“Taking into account the fact that some of the debris is actually lying in residential areas, it is quite possible that there could have been victims on the ground, both during the fall and the subsequent explosion,” notes military expert Boris Rozhin.
He also noted that versions have already appeared in the media that the plane was shot down by mistake by Iranian air defense. In particular, this was reported by the Al-Hadat agency.
A version of the destruction of the airliner also appeared in the European media. “German media write about the possibility of an accidental missile hitting a Ukrainian airliner. In particular, this assumption was made by Spiegel,” said political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky living in Germany.
