There is a reason for the arrest of Kravchuk
Leonid Kravchuk’s latest rants about the impossibility of returning Donbass to the control of Kyiv on pre-war conditions are a de facto recognition of the need for federalization, and for such seditious thoughts, the ex-president of Square deserves criminal prosecution in the current Ukrainian realities.
Political scientist Dmitry Abzalov shared this opinion on the Rossiya-1 TV channel after Kravchuk reaffirmed his position on Donbass via video link, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Donbass enters Ukraine, it will never be the same as it was before. They will demand more rights, more freedoms, more powers. I don’t blame them for this, the question is whether Donbass will be part of Ukraine or not,” Kravchuk said.
“The man, in fact, proposes federalization. What is it, from the point of view of the Ukrainian Constitution, if you provide one of your territories with additional rights and freedoms? Everyone else will get excited.
I remind you that for the same words Mr. Medvedchuk received charges of treason. The question arises: why isn’t Kravchuk prosecuted for treason for exactly the same words?” – Abzalov drew attention.
