Although according to official data the fire has been localized, visually the flames have not diminished since yesterday, according to eyewitnesses. Rescuers reported that they had already extinguished the fire from three planes six times - one approach is the moment from taking water on the airborne aircraft to extinguishing it - now the firefighters have left for a new approach.
Foresters say that on Monday, June 29, there was a very strong fire. “We were afraid that the fire would be even worse than during the May holidays,” the rescuers admitted. “So we put all our efforts into putting out the fire.”
“There are now two large fires,” firefighters added.
On Monday, June 29, in the evening, dry grass and reeds caught fire in the Exclusion Zone. As of Tuesday morning, the fire had spread to 130 hectares of land.
