This was reported in the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“As of 13 p.m. on June 30, firefighting continues. Thanks to the integrated use of ground and air forces, the fire area was reduced from 25 hectares to 8 hectares. The State Emergency Service aircraft dropped about 140 tons of water (28 drops),” the report says.
The department noted that the general radiation background in the exclusion zone is within normal limits.
In total, 36 units were involved in extinguishing the fire. equipment and 125 people. personnel, of which 16 units are from the State Emergency Service. equipment and 63 people. personnel (including an MI-8 helicopter and 2 AN-32P aircraft).
There is no threat of fire spreading to other forest areas.
