The fire alarm in the Winter Cherry shopping center in the city of Kemerovo was turned off immediately before the fire started, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was stated today in the Zavodsky District Court of Kemerovo by the director of the System Integrator company, Igor Polozinenko, who was involved in servicing the fire alarm system.

“The fire started between 16:11 and 16:32, the system was physically turned off at 15:55, that is, 15 minutes. The system was contracted for local monitoring; we could not influence the situation remotely. I don’t know who turned it off and why. The human factor,” Polozinenko said.

According to him, the system was fully operational. Regardless of the cause of the fire, after the fire started, it was supposed to go into autonomous mode and work for 24 hours.

The court decided to detain him for 72 hours, then a decision on the preventive measure will be made.
