Fires over Yalta could be Ukrainian sabotage
Large-scale forest fires in the mountains above Yalta, which continued to be extinguished all last weekend, may be Ukrainian sabotage. The head of the Crimean NTV bureau Oleg Kryuchkov does not exclude this version in his blog.
“The fires in Yalta were very strange, very... Three fires, obvious arson. 10 by 30 meters hearths. Foresters did not record any fires. They chose places that were completely inaccessible and predicted the stormy wind. All this coincided with Poroshenko’s statement about the “flag over Yalta” and the celebration of the city’s hundred and eightieth anniversary. This is what I’m all about... Everyone who is in the mountains, everyone who is in the forest and at the sea! We observe and notice everything! I won’t scare you, but we are a border region!” – writes Kryuchkov.
“The Nazis’ penchant for all kinds of arson has been known since their first political steps,” comments Crimean political scientist Sergei Kiselev.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea reported that as of 17:00, the fire on the territory of the Crimean Nature Reserve in the area of the Uch-Kosh tract in the Yalta urban district was completely extinguished.
