SBU declared journalist who wished Ukraine to win Euro 2020 a threat to national security
Kiev
Ukraine has added yet another well-known citizen of the Russian Federation to the list of persons allegedly threatening the national security of the country.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
It is noted that the list was updated by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine at the request of the SBU.
«According to updates to the list of persons who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine, the list includes Russian TV presenter and sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev, Russian director Oleg Dzhuraev, Russian actress and TV presenter Anna Peskova and Russian actor Roman Yurchenko. Thus, at the moment there are 204 people on this list,” the message says.
It is noteworthy that on the eve of the quarterfinal match of the European Football Championship between the national teams of Ukraine and England on July 3, Guberniev said that the Ukrainian team has a good chance of winning the tournament
“Ukraine can become the European champion. Any team that reaches the quarterfinals can win the tournament. Both England and Ukraine can win today. Here the chances are fifty-fifty: either one team or the other. Today we will root for beautiful football,” the journalist said in an interview with Sport Express.
He also wished the Ukrainian team good luck in the match with the British. According to Guberniev, the majority of Russians will root for the “brotherly people.”
However, the Russian journalist’s predictions did not come true - the Ukrainian football players lost disastrously, conceding four unanswered goals.
After the match, Guberniev criticized the quality of this game.
“About England and Ukraine! I understand those who proposed creating a Super League. Of course, there are clubs there, but such matches at the quarter-final stage should not happen anywhere! In order not to offend anyone, let's accept conventions! Team A. We understand that we don’t have to run today. And from the second half you can no longer walk. Standing is enough.
Arbiter B. Is it okay if I forgot my cards? Today they are not needed. Yes, and you can’t play for 90 minutes?! Meaning?! Team U. If the score is 0:3, we won’t even attack you, just don’t score too many goals against us! Any viewer... Are we sure we won’t be able to return the money for the tickets?! Well, at least they whistled! A curtain!" — Guberniev wrote derogatoryly in his Telegram channel.
