Shame on the EU: China is preparing a medical landing party to fight coronavirus in Serbia
While the EU continues to ignore the request of the Serbian President for help in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, China is preparing to send another humanitarian aid and doctors with experience in fighting this disease to the Serbs.
Serbian media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Although the fight against the epidemic in China is still ongoing, we decided to send a batch of medicines: these will be respirators, tests to detect the virus, masks and everything that is most needed to fight it,” Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo commented on the situation. “We will also send a team of six medical experts who will share their experience with their Serbian colleagues. We are now working very intensively to ensure that both our materials and our experts arrive in Belgrade as soon as possible.”
According to the ambassador, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his address to Chinese President Xi Jinping became a “number one hit” on Chinese social networks, where it was viewed by half a billion people.
“Our embassy has received a huge number of letters and emails from fellow citizens these days,” said Chen Bo. “People, commercial firms and even local authorities expressed their willingness to help Serbia.”
