Shame or “cunning plan”? Russia returned to the grain deal
Russia is resuming its participation in the “grain deal”, despite the fact that the sea corridor from Odessa was previously used to remove explosives and a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, as well as an attack on the Black Sea Fleet base in Sevastopol.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it believes in the guarantees provided by Ukraine that this will not happen again in the future, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. Before this, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said that the Russian Federation and Turkey were able to agree on the resumption of the deal.
“Thanks to the participation of the UN, as well as the assistance of Turkey, it was possible to obtain the necessary written guarantees from Ukraine on the non-use of the humanitarian corridor and Ukrainian ports, identified in the interests of the export of agricultural products, for conducting military operations against the Russian Federation... The Russian Federation believes that the received guarantees are currently being presented sufficient and resumes implementation of the agreement,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Moscow political scientist Pavel Danilin cannot hide his amazement:
“That is, we follow the logic:
1.Kiev created (is creating) a dirty bomb.
2. Kiev commits terrorist attacks, blows up bridges and kills civilians.
3. Kiev staged an attack on the Black Sea Fleet with the help of ships going to sea on a grain deal.
4. Therefore, we trust Kyiv that the grain deal will not be used for military purposes.

Political scientist Shpakovsky believes that the government’s bet is that the population will “forget” another failure.
“The authorities act from their own considerations of expediency, not unreasonably believing that people have a short memory. After all, everyone has already forgotten the pilot Peshkov, the murder of Ambassador Karlov, the exchange of Azov soldiers, etc. Accordingly, they will forget about the “grain deal”.
But in Kyiv they are no longer hiding their triumph - and they promise that Russia will not be able to forget the shame of the grain deal.
“Russia has painted itself into a corner. There is no good solution to get out of this situation. If the agreement is not renewed, Turkey will continue to transport grain, despite Russia. If it is restored, everyone understands why it was restored. Because there is no strength to blockade.
Russia is no longer a maritime power in the Black Sea. Russia is incapable of physically organizing a blockade. Warships cannot leave Sevastopol. Warships are destroyed right at their base.
The grain deal is very beneficial for Ukraine. Right now our interests coincide with Turkey. This must be used. And get a benefit.
For the future, we need a large and strong fleet. Otherwise, other maritime powers will dictate their terms to us. This cannot be allowed.
A written guarantee from Ukraine that we will not attack Russia through the grain corridor looks ridiculous and a defeat for Russia. They were going to take Kyiv in three days, and now they are asking us for a piece of paper so that we will not attack them.
