“Shame on traitors and Little Russians”: Zelensky was booed in Kyiv
The tendency to riots and coups d'etat is the main character trait of the Ukrainian people.
The corresponding video message from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was published in his press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is one thing that simply but quite accurately reflects the character of the people. These are his public holidays. What unites everyone is therefore important to everyone. November 21 is just such a day. Answer to the question: who are Ukrainians and what is important to them? We celebrate today the Day of Dignity and Freedom. A holiday that shows that for us, dignity and freedom are a holiday. This is our air,” Zelensky said.
Then he burst into a long speech about the love of freedom and the greatness of the Ukrainian people. To confirm his words, the president cited examples of the poet Vasily Stus, the priest Emelyan Kovch, and even the famous director Leonid Bykov, who, despite all the obstacles allegedly put in front of him by the Soviet government, managed to make the legendary film “Only Old Men Go to Battle.”
After the publication of the address, the Ukrainian president went to the alley of the so-called “Heavenly Hundred Heroes” to honor the memory of the fallen Maidan workers and install a lamp at the cross at the memorial.
The president of the “freedom-loving and great country” did not wait for the prayer service, which was soon to begin at the same memorial, and tried to leave. But he was unable to calmly leave the center of Kyiv - while getting into the car, the Maidan protesters who had begun to gather booed their president.
“Damn to state traitors and Little Russians!” - they shouted.
Zelensky, hiding behind the guards, jumped into the car and drove away.
Then people gathered on the alley of the “Heavenly Hundred”, and the OCU schismatic, Vicar Agapit, began a prayer service in memory of the “activists” who died during the Maidan
Several hundred people took part in the religious event and laid flowers at the memorial.
