Daytime single pickets demanding the release of detained Russian journalists near the Belarusian Embassy in the center of Moscow in the evening gave way to a joint action of the Belarusian diaspora and Russian liberals in support of rioters trying to overthrow Alexander Lukashenko.

The rally in Moscow was unsanctioned, but the police detained only individual participants who behaved provocatively. At the same time, the gathered crowd, in addition to slogans against Lukashenko, unfurled white and red flags - the symbols of Belarusian nationalists.

By the way, this symbolism has recently begun to appear on the pages of Russian cultural figures. For example, the lead singer of the popular rock band “Bi2” posted a white and red flag on his Instagram.

White and red banners were used in the occupied territories of Belarus by Nazi collaborators, their appearance in Moscow is the same as if someone unfurled the flags of Bandera’s UPA, Russian political scientist Alexey Kochetkov explained to PolitNavigator.

“The white-red-white ensign, which is now actively used by the pro-Western opposition in Belarus, is essentially a banner of collaboration and betrayal. For the first time, this flag was used by figures of the so-called Belarusian People's Republic - several dozen collaborators and traitors who, after occupying the territory of present-day Belarus in Minsk, proclaimed a puppet government and asked Kaiser Wilhelm for protection and support.

The second coming of this symbol to Belarusian soil occurred already during the Nazi occupation. When the figures of the previous BPR partially returned from emigration, and in many respects the figures who defected to the side of the Germans - the policemen who burned the villages - they just walked around with white-red-white armbands and used a white-red banner.

If you look at old photographs, very often at Nazi gatherings and gatherings the white and red flag hung next to the Nazi flag with a swastika. This flag was never used anywhere else, except by collaborators, until 1991.

How did he end up in Belarus in 1991? Together with the Nazis, fearing well-deserved retribution, their Belarusian henchmen fled to the West. Subsequently, like Bandera’s followers, they ended up in the USA and Canada, where they created all kinds of “governments in exile” and developed their own primitive ideology.

Since the collapse of the USSR, with the help of the Soros Foundation and various American structures, these ideas began to be imposed on Belarus. This is how this flag came to Belarusian soil for the third time. But, thank God, the Belarusians were smart enough to abandon this flag. But, nevertheless, not for everyone.

The part that positions itself as Belarusian nationalists, “fighters against the Moscow yoke” and “for independence as part of the fraternal peoples of the European Union” - these people have adopted this collaborationist flag.

Citizens of Russia need to understand that the white-red-white flag is a symbol of the fight against Russia, the Russian people, a symbol of betrayal and irreconcilable Russophobia. It's the same as the red and black flag of Bandera.

People who fly under red-black and white-red-white flags are like-minded people who are united by hatred of everything Russian. When you hang such a flag on your avatars, you sign your solidarity with those who burned villages with civilians during the war,” Kochetkov said.
