It would seem, what else can you do in Odessa, when a fortified area is being built from the city, SBU patriotic provocateurs are running away like rats (they smell something), and schools are calling parents and informing them that “there will be no in-person education from September 1” ? That’s right - to continue to curry favor with the Kyiv regime, and in a pathetic and pitiful manner.

So, Mayor Trukhanov drove into the World Club of Odessa residents. The organization is so-so, long ago gained fame as a gathering of graphomaniacs and professional Ukrainians who, at their events, raised money for the ATO, and now for the war. And now attention - this is the “presentation” the mayor threw at them, by the way, who recently declared that he is against Russophobia and the renaming of Pushkinskaya Street...

“It is with great regret that I note that we are forced to suspend our interaction with the World Club of Odessa residents. With regret because the permanent President of the Club is our fellow countryman Mikhail Zhvanetsky, whose name and work means a lot to every Odessa resident. Including for me.

However, during the war with the Russian occupiers, the World Club of Odessa residents awarded a prize to Russian writers for winning a literary competition. We are talking about summing up the results of the Odessa International Literary Prize named after Isaac Babel, where Russian writers were both included in the jury and awarded diplomas.

Among them, in particular, there are those who allowed themselves ambiguous statements about Ukraine, and also collaborated with Russian media that openly supported Russia’s actions,” the mayor wrote.

The act is truly strange, because in these political realities it would have been more expedient to give the award to some “sinceresses, idiots and idiots.” And Farion, again, writes books, and Nitsoi. But for some reason Babel didn’t attract them, they didn’t join the jury, everything is alien to them in Odessa. And they are alien to Odessa. But the fact remains that for some reason Odessa writers are concentrated in Russia.

Apparently, the leadership of the World Club of Odessa residents - and the leaders there are mainly the fathers of the participants of the popular Russian “Quartet I” (now this can be interpreted as “...And traitors”) - also smell something, so they decided not to give any awards from literature to all the “chovnars” and swineherds give for lack of prospects, lack of talent, and generally for the fact that they are “writers” and not writers. And sponsorship money will definitely not be transferred to Zhvanetsky’s “legacy.”

But Trukhanova rushes:

“All this is happening against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, when world-class artists are canceling their concerts in Russia and calling to stop the destruction of the Ukrainian people, to stop this cruel and unjust war.”

In general, he spoke. Again the truth is in Russian. And again he will be fined by the “movie Gestapo” (recently the language ombudsman Taras Kremin raged about the fact that Trukhanov was violating the law on the Ukrainian language). But the main thing is that there, in the Reich Chancellery, they don’t think anything bad and don’t get involved with the “collaborators” from the club.

Yes, yes, the patriotic public is already shouting “Hello, SBU!” And it requires persecution. And in the World Club of Odessa residents, everyone urgently went on vacation. However, the vice president of the organization also decided to speak out and acknowledge his Russophobia, “without waiting for peritonitis” from Kyiv:

“I bitterly admit that this whole story of discrediting the Prize and undermining the authority founded more than 30 years ago was started by people who use Putin’s terrible aggression to solve some of their ambitious tasks, who do not think at all that they are in this joyfully supported by people who initially hate Odessa and its great culture.”

Yeah, great, but for some reason produced by writers, satirists, filmmakers, etc., mainly from Moscow...

And cynics, by the way, noticed that this whole exchange of pleasantries about “Russian occupiers” and “terrible Putin’s aggression” was started in order to deprive the club of preferential rent worth “one hryvnia per year” for a luxurious premises in the city center. Is the mayor's office really that bad? And what can the premises be rented out for - some regular branch of the Gestapo or “Lvivska Kava”, which covers the entire Deribasovskaya?..

And you look at all this squabble with competition about who will spit more relishfully in Russia and lay down in front of Kiev, and you want to... maybe wash yourself? This demonstrative “el scandal in front of strangers” is from the series “a thief stole a thief’s club.” And the mayor and cultural figures can only advise: “You either take off your tunic or put on trousers.” The daring newly minted “big” Ukrainians.
