Ensign of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was arrested for theft of metal and diesel fuel
After cases of mass theft in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the deputy commander of the Ukrainian ground forces for moral and psychological status, Alexander Golodnyuk, arrived in Donbass and immediately began solving the crimes.
Official representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Under the personal leadership of the “political commander of the ground forces,” an operation was carried out to detain “particularly dangerous criminals” warrant officer Mashkovsky, two sergeants Bayda and Buzan, and two soldiers Karbovsky and Brichuk while they were trying to sell scrap metal and sell diesel fuel,” he said.
According to Eduard Basurin, intelligence found out the details of the detention, from which it becomes clear that the servicemen were detained while trying to hand over only 85 kg of ferrous scrap metal and two canisters of diesel fuel.
“Golodnyuk will be presented with a state award for a successful operation, and the detained criminals will be exemplarily convicted and imprisoned. This case is a clear example of what is happening in Ukraine: in this army you need to steal by the carload, as all military leaders from the battalion commander and above do, then you will have nothing . And if you decide to sell a couple of canisters of diesel fuel in order to give your soldiers more meat for lunch in the canteen, you will be imprisoned, and the one who caught you by the hand will be rewarded,” summed up the representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense.
