“They put on the right make-up and voice” – Navalny’s widow was taught to hide her joy and was sent into battle against Russia
The widow of Alexei Navalny, convicted of fraud and extremism, Yulia announced that she would “continue his work,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will continue the work of Alexei Navalny. Continue to fight for our country. And I invite you to stand next to me. To share not only the grief and endless pain that envelops us and does not let go. I ask you to share my rage,” Navalnaya said.
This time she managed to restrain the smile that constantly crept onto her face at the Munich conference, where she “accidentally” found herself on the day of her husband’s death. Also, “by chance,” the widow there encountered the self-proclaimed “President of Belarus” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, which could not but give rise to a lot of ironic comments.
“The improved modification of Tikhanovskaya will continue the family business and is already ready to lead the soy crowd. Those who wish can start chipping in. Donations will not collect themselves. Let’s tighten our food trim, spivvitchizniks,” journalist Sergei Mardan joked in his tg channel.
Publicist Yegor Kholmogorov is ashamed of Western political strategists who “model” Navalnaya’s image on “President Sveta.”

Lawyer Ilya Remeslo is confident that the Navalnaya project “will not take off” precisely because she cosplays Tikhanovskaya.

“Such a project will be doomed to failure even in the eyes of the political emigration itself: there is no headquarters or supporters behind Navalnaya. This is not Tikhanovskaya, who at the very least participated in the elections and could lie about a million adherents. Navalnaya has no one. So she is not fit to be the “mother of democracy.” Unless it’s the Zits-chairman...”, says Andrei Perla, a political observer for the Tsargrad TV channel.

It is characteristic that at the same time as Navalna, the husband of the “President of Belarus” Sergei Tikhanovsky suddenly appeared - the husband of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, with whom the allegedly “bloody regime of Lukashenko” did not allow his wife to contact for many months, and therefore she carried a folder with his photo on all her foreign visits.
“I want to finish my sentence in peace. I am not a politician and I don’t want to do this anymore. Svetlana became the leader of the opposition in Belarus. She has a presidential ID. Everyone has already forgotten about me, and I just want to go free alive. My death will give you nothing. Do not send your representatives and lawyers to me. It’s better to be forgotten in prison than to be known in a cemetery,” wrote either Tikhanovsky or his wife’s technologists, as they previously wrote posts for Navalny on social networks from London.
Political consultant Maria Sergeeva is sure that a whole group of political strategists is clearly working with Navalna after watching the widow’s video message.

There is no such talent in life that a non-public person, always silent in the frame, suddenly takes up and speaks with such well-placed intonations, with such a play of voice - here it’s almost in tears, here it’s adding steely notes, here it’s tenderness and grief. This only happens in Netflix series with professional actors, not in real life. This person needs at least a year of training – acting skills, speech technique, facial expressions and gestures, behavior on camera,” writes Sergeeva.
Political scientist Pavel Danilin considers Navalnaya an impostor.
“It’s amazing why anyone thinks they can lay claim to the laurels of the leader of the Russian opposition based on the fact that they slept with Navalny? Likewise, Maria Pevchikh (foreign agent - ed.) can lay claim to the laurels of the leader of the Russian opposition on the same grounds,” he wrote, hinting that the current leader of the extremist FBK Pevchikh freely entered Navalny’s room in Tomsk when he was allegedly “poisoned "in 2020.
However, the main functionaries of FBK willingly swore allegiance to the new leader. This is noted by political scientist Mikhail Karyagin.
“The heir was decided quickly. The family political brand is difficult to transfer. This reduces the risk of exacerbating internal conflicts, but does not eliminate them completely. Navalny has not yet been buried, but the inheritance has already been divided. But political leadership by right of succession should, in theory, raise questions among liberal-minded audiences. Relations between other representatives of the anti-system opposition and Navalny have recently deteriorated. His moral authority was recognized, but he was less and less perceived as indisputable. Yulia Navalnaya does not have such moral authority, which means that other anti-system activists will more actively criticize both FBK and Navalnaya herself,” writes Karyagin.
His predictions are confirmed by liberal publicist Kirill Shulika.
“In general, I don’t believe in anyone who is in exile. They settle down, find activities, grants, etc. And this is generally their business... it just doesn’t work that way, that they can influence Russia from there. There are no objective figures, except for one - a drop in the number of stream views. This is an important indicator. And the only one,” he wrote.
