“I came with my draft government structure, but after communicating with Sergei Ivanovich (Menailo), adjustments will be made to it taking into account specific problems,” Ovsyannikov said.
He thanked the ex-governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo for his assistance in his work. “We have already had the opportunity to communicate, and I am grateful that in the next three days we will be able to discuss the problems that he worked on, but it was not always possible to find a quick solution,” Ovsyannikov said.
Among the priorities of his work, he named the implementation of infrastructure and investment projects.
“All priority areas of the city’s development will be related to its status as a city of federal significance and its historical role in ensuring the security and defense capability of the country. I am a civilian, but it is very significant for me that I am taking up this position on the eve of Navy Day,” Ovsyannikov said.
The official representative of the Sevastopol government, Kirill Moskalenko, who worked with Menyailo, told PolitNavigator that he had written a letter of resignation. “I want to thank everyone for their cooperation. Now I’m waiting for an offer, I’m sure it will be no less interesting work,” said Moskalenko.
