The head of the public initiative, Elena Petryaeva, stated this at a press conference dedicated to the problems of forced migrants.
“Either we abandon this population and say that they are not needed, then we say that we will conquer both Donbass and Crimea and do not stop the economic blockade. The rhetoric of the top officials of the state is constantly changing. The first speeches of the ATO Minister and his deputy were that people live in uncontrolled territory, it is necessary to lift the blockade and work with the territories. Now this rhetoric is gone and there is no understanding of what will happen next to the territory and people. The state program for the adaptation of forced migrants was adopted last year, but not a penny has been allocated for it. The issue of housing, work and payments to pensioners has not been resolved. There are problems with medical care,” she said.
