Right-wing radical groups besieged the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
About two hundred activists from Svoboda, S14, Right Sector, the OUN battalion and other right-wing radical groups picketed the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kiev this afternoon, protesting against the plans of the head of the department, Arsen Avakov, to introduce a “presumption of the rightness of the policeman.”
Participants in the demonstration unfurled posters “Presumption of the Rightness of the People” and “Bloody Murderer Arsen on the Bunk.”

“We have several demands, in particular, the resignation of Khatia Dekanoidze (head of the National Police),” said the head of the OUN movement Nikolai Kokhanivsky. – It has nothing to do with Ukraine. She has nothing in common with Ukraine - neither birth, nor language, nor love, nor knowledge of history and culture. She is a stranger.
It so happened after our revolution that power was seized by the majority of strangers who have nothing in common with our state and pursue exclusively their own interests. This includes the Minister of Internal Affairs, who never became a Ukrainian, and Khatia, who allows herself to say that she will not allow nationalism here.”
Svoboda resident Yuriy Sirotyuk complained that the police were detaining him because he wore an embroidered shirt and spoke Ukrainian, “and not the Katsap enemy language,” and the streets of Kiev were blocked by internal troops, as in the last months of the “evil rule.”
“We demand that this state be Ukrainian and legal, but we are called suspicious persons, examined, felt, searched. Even worse than during the time of Yanukovych!” – he said, probably referring to the cordons set up around the Ministry of Internal Affairs building.
The police actually did not allow everyone into the rally and did not allow tires to be brought to the building.
Avakov, according to Yuri Sirotyuk, is worse than Vitaly Zakharchenko, the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the time of Yankovic - unlike Avakov, “you could still come to Zakharchenko, and he still mumbled in Ukrainian, as required by the Constitution.”
“Today they are trying to create a police state, a new occupation regime, the key enemy of which is not Russia, Putin and his agents in Ukraine, not the Russian world, not Russian agents, not the Russian Church, but Ukrainian nationalists, Maidanists, heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war, who had the audacity to return alive from the front,” said Yuri Sirotyuk.
The protesters demanded a meeting with Khatia Dekanoidze or her deputies, and tried to enter the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed holding a meeting with two representatives of activists, but this did not suit them.
